I'll eat less, drive less, and consume less because everything is more expensive



Those were my answers. The second is mostly lower consumption of non essential things due to prices. We don't drive our personal car far/much.

dilbert already drives a hybrid. I'll also walk/ ride my bike more. When this blasted knee gets better, anyway.

Shoot, $3.20 gas already impacted me. Just this month, we parked our big truck. I did the math, and figured that by going from 12mpg to 30+mpg would save us enough to pay for insurance/tax/upkeep, and make a car payment to ourselves.

I started with the Consumer Reports Used car buyer's guide, and made a list of everything that got 30+ MPG in their real life tests, and we picked from that list.

I stay home most of them time. I finally go out when the errands can't wait anymore, and knock them all out in one trip.

It ticks me off to stay home all the time. A car has one purpose on Earth, and that is to drive me around. I like driving around. Going to the playground with the kids, oh hey! let's check out this canyon... hey, look at that for sale sign - let's see what it is and how much ... don't ya wanna' see how that house is coming along...?

But yeah, driving a lot less. tears.gif

I've been driving a lot less and combining trips. I used to run to town to get small things. Now if someone asks me if I need anything in town I will say yes where before I would say no and just get it myself. This summer I was planning on doing a multi state road trip/camping with the family. Now we will stay closer to home. We will still do something but with the gas so expensive it won't be a super long trip.
