Senator Clinton lied about being shot at by snipers in Bosnia. Now she says that she just misspoke. But she made the statement twice - once in a speech, afterwards again to reporters when questioned about that statement, and a transcript was available on her website. Now that she's caught in the lie she's acting as if she just misspoke, and it's hard to remember every foreign trip she's ever taken. Excuse me, but unless being fired at by snipers is a regular thing for her, I think that she would have a very clear memory of whether or not she was shot at. From everyone I've spoken to who's had weapons fired at them, it's an experience that you don't forget.

But truth is a completely different animal when it comes to the Clintons and they've done so much for America that we should just give them a pass, right?

I really try to give people the benefit of the doubt (even the Bilary machine). But, she said this twice! And then she excuses it by saying she misspoke? About what? About being shot at? About the location? About the color of her hair? How can you qualify that as a misspoken statement? If she had said that she misspoke and it wasn't Bosnia but rather New York where she received sniper fire (and video footage documents it), then I could chalk it up to a misspoken comment.

Most of her "reality" I think is all in her head - made up. She probably thought about how cool it would be to be fired at by snipers at the time and that's sort of how her memories were formed in her mind. So when she thinks back on it, she thinks she was fired at and has to stop and think, "Oh, wait - did that really happen?" I know, it's farfetched. But when you've been around people who actually do this, you can see it.

I heard about this last night on the radio, and they played the clip from her speech. My first thought was, "Oh Hillary, you are supposed to be smarter than that." To blatantly say that she had to duck and run for the car, when she darn well knows there was video footage of every trip she took...
Unless coco is right and she's delusional. So which would you rather have in the White House - a liar or a delusional?
And I'm sorry, even if it were true, how does being under sniper danger qualify you to lead?
Was there any kind of political gain she would have realized by pulling off this lie? I mean, was she trying to coattail off her husband's record, claiming he put an end to all that? From what I can tell, people mention Bosnia when they're critics of Bill.
If there's no advantage, I'm content to write it up as basic human dumbness.

Political gain? I dunno, maybe some adviser told her she didn't come off tough enough?

Hillary has a lot of skeletons in her closet. She's the most scandal ridden candidate, in my opinion. She's plain bad news.
