Ok, about the story... I'm not sure, but I think in Canada you can still sell horses for slaughter. It's a bad situation, but if they were euthanized in a humane way, I'm for people having that choice. There will always be unwanted horses, as there are unwanted dogs, cats and other animals. And the price of $2,000 they mentioned as being very low? Yeah, try more like $200 or less for horses in this condition. At least that's been my experience.
