According to this article, a study in Indiana showed that implementing Daylight Slavings Time may actually increase energy usage.

You mean, you don't feel socially conscious enough to participate in a fake savings?

Arizona and parts of Indiana don't change. I've never had to change a clock for daylight savings time. I think everyone should be brought to the truth.

Actually, that's what the article is about - now all of Indiana does DST. So this study compared energy usage before and after DST became universal in Indiana.

Daylight Savings Time is just plain stupid when you live as far north as I do. As far as I'm concerned, I'd rather have that light at the beginning of the day than at the end. After a long winter, it's so much easier to get out of bed when it's light out. Yay for sunshine!
Just as that starts to happen, BOOM! dark in the morning again for at least another month. It really sucks. Saskatchewan doesn't buy into DST, and I wish we were the same.

I'm still fighting jet lag from my business trip last week. Now with DST this weekend I'm in big trouble. DST is completely useless for farmers. They get up early so the daylight in the very early morning compared to the evening is more favorable. I never believed it saved power because no matter how you move the clocks you can't change the fact that there are only so many hours of daylight during the day. I wish they would just leave it one way or the other because I know there is lost productivity as people have to adjust their internal clocks.

Yeah, and this isn't going to help me make to the gym in the morning, that's for sure.

I think getting up in the dark is the hardest thing about getting up in the morning. I usually get up before the sun comes up but until those first rays start coming in I'm a zombie.

Yeah, I've talked to people that like it. Frequently they're people who like getting up early anyway, and so they're glad that the rest of the world is forced to get up early with them.
