He's the predicted frontrunner when it's all said and done---he's getting more money, he's got the media behind him (to say nothing of the leftist websites), and he's picked by most experts to win the next several primaries.
Are you sure you won't vote against this guy?

We cannot allow either Obama or Clinton in the White House. If it means voting for John McCain I will do it. I would have loved to vote for somebody instead of against somebody, but this is the time for conservatives to come together.
I don't believe in voting against someone, especially when it means voting for someone like McCain. He is basically Hillary Lite. So you're pretty much going to get to the same place, just a little later than if you had voted for the other. Why not vote for someone who would do good in this country, instead of just a little less evil? I doubt that McCain would even appoint conservative judges. He called Alito "too conservative". Personally I considered him not conservative enough, but I know that many on this board like him. If you want another judge like Alito, McCain isn't your man. Granted, he voted for Bork, who would have been a wonderful Supreme Court Justice. But he also voted for Ruth Bader Ginsberg. I would be shocked if he didn't propose a moderate or liberal judge if elected president.

A) Vote for a good candidate, and get Hillary or Obama. I go straight to whatever place you're referring to, but at least I feel good about it.
B) Vote for McCain, and feel kind of resentful about it. I gain a couple years or more of plateau before I get to that place.
So, basically you're saying that if the country's going to dissolve into anarchy and chaos anyway, we might as well just flush it now. Thanks, but I don't see the extra time as a total loss.
I'm not saying flush it now, I'm saying do something about it. There's no way that McCain will pull this country out of the crisis it's in. He'll just move it into crisis a little slower. The only thing you can do to avoid flushing the country is to vote third party. If you had a terminal illness, and the traditional treatments they were offering you would only slow down your death somewhat, would you not opt for the experimental treatment that might save you? Even if you knew that there was little chance that it would be successful? It's the same thing with this country. We can't cure it by doing more of the same. We can cure it by electing people like Ron Paul. He only has a small chance of winning, but better a small chance of winning than a certain chance of the country dieing otherwise.

If the country's dying, it's because of the immoral and ignorant choices people have made. Remember "if ye keep my commandments, ye shall prosper in the land". No amount of voting for third party candidates is going to stop a slow slide into degradation. That comes with individuals making righteous choices.
