As I was driving this morning, a range of mountains was in front of me. I've seen this range from this road-view thousands of times. I think mountains in general are beautiful but today something was different. They were breath-taking! As I stared at them I realized it was the light. The light was hitting them in a way I had never seen before. The near part of the range was shadowy and the middle and far side of the range was lit by the sun. It gave light to details in the mountains I hadn't known before. There was also a wonderful three-dimensional depth there which made them so impressive to look at.
I was thinking, Gosh they've always been this majestic and I'd just never known that because of the lighting changes. Then the thought occurred to me that maybe this is how we view people sometimes. We see how we expect them to be day after day... the usual two-dimensional mountains off in the distance - We *know* them because we've seen them a thousand times. Then, with more light, we see something entirely different for the first time.
The Lord, of course, sees them in their true form always. But sometimes, He gives us a glance into what He sees.

That is a very beautiful thought Coco... I see you pretty majestic most of the time... that enlightenment is certainly majestic in my eyes this evening...
