Hearing from an old friend I hadn't talked to in a few years.

3yo wanting me to lie down on my bed with him this afternoon while he watched a cartoon (naptime) saying, "I'm TRYING to PUT YOU on the BED!"

No one will get this, but I have been playing Pokemon Pearl on my DS. Today I got to the "climax" of the game, where you face off against Team Galactic, and then have to catch the big bad all powerful pokemon named Palkia. I saved my game, and knocked out Palkia my first try. Second try, as a fluke I throw a Quick Ball at him. This is a wimpy pokeball that sometimes just works well on the very first turn of battle.

I caught Palkia! Hahahahahaha! Too funny... rofl.gif Talk about lucky!

(Usually players have to restart the game about fifty times before the manage to catch this guy... unless they use the Master Ball (which I never use, something of a pride thing...) )

I'll have to share that with my nephew. He will think you are cooler than sliced bread. He is totally into Pokemon and asked for some kind of game for Christmas........perhaps you are enjoying the same game.

I know I'm bragging here, but yesterday my answer was "four sleeps 'til Disneyland!"

Today my answer is "three sleeps 'til Disneyland!"

Getting an excellent performance appraisal tonight and being told that they have confidence in me to train the new part-time pharmacist on how our computer system works, and insurance billing, etc. etc. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed because everyone is telling her, "Don't worry, she'll be around to help you if you need it."

This pharmacist knows her pharmacology, but is pretty clueless about everything else the way the store is run. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed.

#1- you had to be there, I guess. But yesterday at work, I saw one of our patients mid-morning. She said she was still a little hungry as she hadn't eaten much breakfast. She wanted a slice of bread and some coffee. I made the coffee and called the kitchen and said so and so is in the dining room and would like some bread. I assummed they'd put a slice or two on a late and bring it to her.

They sent down an entire loaf!!

In retrospect, it was my miscommunication. But we thought it was funny that they sent an entire loaf of bread for a little lady!

#2- double vanilla ice-cream w/a bunc of marishino cherries. Yummy!!

#3- I get released (supposedly) from teaching primary on Sun but get to sub this week for a different class!

#4- from our sister forum, I learned ken jennings has a blog. So I looked at it and learned that he referred to his speaking engagement at our last week's singles conference as a "Thingy!". I don't know if it's good or bad, but I think it is funny to think of a singles conf as a Thingy!
