Strength to Rayb

You're an ornery toad, but I appreciate you most of the time anyway, and it stinks to lose a job around Christmas (or any other time of the year, but ESPECIALLY around Christmas).  So blessings to you and your family through this difficult time and may you find a good and stable job soon!

Yes, keep strong! I enjoy and appreciate your posts. I hope you will get the new job very soon and that it will be even better than your last one. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas.

I am sorry that you are out of work this time of the year... (actually I don't understand the whole situation cause I have been away a few days... and I can't find where this is explained???)

I know it won't help because mine is voluntary... but I'll be out of work in January. The difference is that we are celebrating... I quit last Thursday. It's time to try a new tack in dealing with my health issues.

Ray, your fellowship means so much to me. And I love hearing about your family. It is interesting how your second grader and daughter in kindergarten seem to have opposite attributes from one being very organized but not very vocal and the other being especially vocal. You are both articulate and good at art so you can guide both daughters. I know that you made a lot of creative use of time in the past when you were between jobs. Lots of love to you and the family and Merry Christmas!

I hope the job search is going well, ray, and that your family is being sustained in all the ways that you need. Unemployment is such a stressful, taxing time.

Lost his job around Christmas? I missed this thread earlier.

I once did a bout of unemployment that started in September, and lasted through March. Not fun.

Thanks for thinking of me, it's been a long search, and unfortunately the type of work I've done a lot of, is in short supply in this area... so I'm still searching, or considering restructuring the work I do... to something that pays much less but might be in more demand...

Been physically ill for almost a month too... hasn't added much to my spirits. But thanks for asking.

I've been thinking about you, ray, and wondering how you were doing.

Unfortunately, I didn't take the time to let you actually know you were in my thoughts. Which of course was a big fat load of nothingness in terms of help. Next time I'll let you know - and then you'll just think I'm a scary internet stalker or something. wink.gif

My other half went through a seven-month unemployment stint three years ago now. We've been there, buddy. Just hang on.
