So Ron Paul had the entire hour on Glenn Beck last night and I thought he was treated very well and that he had a lot of time to give his ideas and plan if he was elected.
What I liked: I really liked Ron Pauls ideas on smaller government, cutting spending, and more personal freedom.
I also like that he doesn't buy the 9-11 conspiracies. I really wanted to hear this because I kept reading from supporters that Paul agreed with the conspiracy theorists. This made me feel a lot better about the guy. I also liked his views on border security and national sovereignty.
What I didn't like: His belief that we will somehow not be a target if we just unplug from the middle east. I don't agree with this at all. Jihadist and radical Islam have a convert or die attitude. We leave and they will still want to kill us and will be working to do so just like now. The only difference is that they will be able to focus more on us here than us around the world. I also believe it could lead to world war three to leave Israel on its own because as soon as they start actually doing what needs to be done over there the Russians, Chinese, and Euros will be sticking there hands in making things even worse requiring us to go back in but this time the mess will be even worse. Since this is one of my number one concerns, it's a deal breaker so I will not support Paul.
I was also concerned with his views on the tax system. I actually agree with him about abolishing the IRS but I do not believe something like this will ever happen or that we can ever eliminate the mandates that congress has passed. Even if Paul were elected, the congress would never give him what he wants to do. There is no political will to do it.
While many of Ron Paul's ideas are great, the reality is that he probably has a greater shot at getting them done as a congressman than as president. About the only thing he could do is not commit our armed forces without a declaration of war from congress. Otherwise the power to do what he wants just isn't in the presidency and there are not enough folks in congress to go along with him to make it happen. It takes both working together.
So that's my view of Paul on Beck. Did you watch it and what did you think. I'm more interested in hearing from those who are/were not in Ron Paul's camp before watching it on Beck than those who supported him before hand.

Heretic!! How could you not see Glenn Beck. I don't always watch it but when he announced that Paul was going to be on the program I DVRd the show to make sure I watched it.

My biggest concern with RP is your above statement.

no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing... the truth of God will go forth till it has penetrated every website, sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the great Jehovah shall say the work is done
And no, I'm NOT going to take a cheap shot.... but I was sorely tempted!!!
