There's the Hoss I know and love... (You know I posted this thread to bait you in to weeping with every fibre of your being for the truthfulness of Mitt, right? )

If you fake cry, others will feel it's more true, too. (This goes for testimonies or lying in general.)
Actually, the most moving Nat'l Anthem I've heard was in my ward after my mom and I had returned from a two month trip to Europe. It was Fast Sunday in July and we sung the Nat. Anthem. That. Was. Awesome.

CURSES!!!!! I've been manipulated again!!! I wonder if the real world is as easily swayed by fake tears as the Mormon world? Methinks not.
I had a Zone Leader, Quito, Ecuador, December 1977... Elder Scarber who in Zone Meetings would try to teach us how to cry, if we couldn't cry when we bore our testimonies. He was REALLY good. I'll never forget some of the other Elder's thought he was for real and I just laughed until I almost cried!
Later, when I was serving as a Zone Leader myself one lazy Monday PM, when I couldn't think of a spiritual thought to motivate them for the rest of the week, I taught my zone how to cry.
I still hear about it years later. Here I was, Elder Straightlaced... and I started out the meeting by saying, "You know the people really love it when you are bearing your testimony if you cry." Within minutes I had huge crocodile tears streaming down my face. I didn't bear my testimony like Scarber did, but I had some of them just looking at me with unbelief. Finally our District Leader couldn't take it anymore and he just started laughing out loud. Before it was over we were all laughing so hard we all had tears in our eyes. It was pretty hillarious.
I'm not as good as I used to be.... but ol' Scarber could cry at the drop of a hat.
I hear he is now a policeman in Superior, AZ. I should go speeding through there someday and if he pulls me over, I think I'll start crying....

I'm shocked too. You've destroyed my whole image of you. Now I'm weeping... oh wait... I never stopped weeping... I'm always weeping... inside... for Hoss...
