Alrighty folks. I've not been PM'd or emailed or anything like that, and I have no desire to cause any strife, but this is your forum, folks, and I'm curious.

Should I moderate the Marine Sniper joke?

Clearly the allusion to profanity is there, and the use of the word "homo" as a derogative statement is um... well... probably not appropriate... then again it's unlikely a marine would talk any nicer, and it's intended to be a joke.

Do you think it's okay or not?

How about an alternate version?

"Hillary is a cow!"

I'm not a fan of *** in place of some letters in words, because my um, worldly-experienced mind sees this as a word puzzle and then can and does fill in the blanks. That's my issue, though, and I'm not sure it applies to anyone else.

ftr, I'm not either, but I don't want to overstep my bounds. I have a tendency to see words differently than many people, though and the Humor Forum is for Bountiful members... blowing off steam, etc...

Thanks for making me log in to respond ray... hmm.gifno.gif personally won't be voting cause I just don't seem to see things the same way others do regarding the issue of language... and I don't care enough what others do to discuss the point further...

It' one of those "as for we in our house"... situations, but Bountiful is not my house.

I do want to thank Hick personally for suggesting a suitable alternative, and Mahonri for testing such an alternative in public and reporting back...
