I really enjoyed it. There are some scenes that make it innapropriate for children, but it's a cute romantic comedy that takes some potshots at modern love.
I thought it was kinda sad how the world's image of love has changed to the point where the Disney love had become this absurdity in the sight of the people there. It made me a bit nostalgic for a time when people actually believed in fairybook romance. My girls all loved the movie, but they're girls and hormonally predisposed to believe in a love that lasts forever. I wish the world were more like them, though...
Any thoughts?

I really enjoyed it. A couple of plot holes (one was really, really bad editing), but overall I enjoyed it. I especially liked the "work" song she sang while cleaning the apartment (although I had to cover my eyes--I don't do bugs very well).
Maybe I don't understand what you're saying, but I felt that the whole movie was about how love CAN be forever, but it's based on more than just the initial looks, initial attraction, etc. That's why she wanted to date Prince instead of just run back to fairy land. And I liked how it showed that 2 people help each other's strengths and weaknesses. She had a positive outlook on life and he was more "realistic." By the end, you could see that they both embraced the other's characteristics and helped each other get stronger in those.

At the end of the movie, folks stood up, clapped and cheered.
I had two patients at different theaters who said the same thing happened when they viewed it.
It's the best Disney movie that has come along in many moons.
I want to see it again and will buy it next year.
My 5 year old already has her Giselle doll... and they are both redheads.

I loved the part where she starts crying at the couple about to be divorced. It's how I feel about Divorce...
That and the vermin cleaning the apartment was classic.
And the cellphone at the wedding... heehehe...
And when she asks Prince Charming if she can go on a date with him... that was too classic. I liked how it blended the two worlds--the idyllic with reality...
And that little girl was really cute. I liked that he had her sleep with him the first night, cuz it was a little weird to have a strange woman in your apartment, no matter how princessy she appeared... :)
I agree it was a very enjoyable movie. The music was really great and none of it really had any sexual innuendo in it (the music, I mean, there were a couple moments in the movie, however that were cringe-worthy), because it was framed so well from the fantasy aspect. At the end my daughters all agreed they'd like to own it.

I enjoyed it a lot. I also found the wiki page fun to read with all the homages and references. Particularly this one:
Spoiler
"The troll is wearing remnants of other Disney Princess' dresses as a loincloth. Among the remnants are sections for Snow White, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella. His earrings are made from Ariels shells."
I'm looking forward to seeing it again. I saw it originally with my sisters, so taking my daughter sounds like a good excuse!
(Also, can I just say, I love Idina? I'm sad her duet with Marsden got cut...another reason to buy the DVD.)
