Reading Remedializes...

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2007/11/19/young_people_reading_a_lot_less/?p1=MEWell_Pos3

Apparently teens/people aren't reading as much as they used to... for pleasure or something... Meh. I dunno... I didn't read the whole article. :)

That's so totally alien to me. I feel weird if I'm not in the process of reading a book, even if I only make a few minutes progress on it in a day.

I have no problem if a certain segment of society is content being stupid.

I'm interested in the poll of the 18-24 year olds, and when they were polled. I know during the school year I feel guilty picking up a book for pleasure because I'm so far behind on all the reading teachers think we actually have time for. In fact, right now I feel guilty because I should be studying for my test tomorrow...but getting on a post board for 15 minutes is definitely going to be 15 minutes. Starting reading a book for fun means I'll have to put more time in to finish it. Maybe my logic is a little off, but that's how I am. Once I start a book, I have an urge to finish it.
