This is dedicated to Polly, Bok, Shiz, Hick, Val, Roper, Cat, Arbi, Mahonri and everyone else needing a little boost as they face the unique challenges of their life. I find it very inspirational. All our uniqueness is swallowed up in Him.

no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing... the truth of God will go forth till it has penetrated every website, sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the great Jehovah shall say the work is done
Nice... I am doing okay these days... Life is a blessing... especially in the form of my family!
I really like the version that Aled Jones (Irish Tenor) did, but I could not find it on YouTube...
Count your Blessings
Count your blessings one by one when dawn appears and day has just begun. They will light your heart with happiness, make each hour bright and bring you gladness. Count your blessings one by one, when twilight falls and toil of day is done. And in sweet dreams they'll come again to you, if you will count your blessings each day through
Count your blessings while you may for we are here but little time to stay. All around are hearts sincere and true, lovely things abound just waiting for you. Count your blessings while you may; the big or small, whichever comes your way. For then you'll find this world a place of love, if you will count your blessings from above.
I liked that, I thought it was very nice. However, I disagree strongly with the idea that 'all our uniqueness is swallowed up in Him.' God and Christ revel in our uniqueness; that's why they love us all individually, not as part of some lump sum. Becoming One does not mean sacrificing our unique identity, or else having billions of us around would be pointless. God loves me for me, not 'just because.' He loves the fact that I love the color purple and that I sometimes mix up the first sounds of words and that I get excited about little kids and He loves to talk to me to see how I'm doing. Being One with Him does not mean giving up those things, same as Christ and Heavenly Father are One but not the same person.
Great point, Dynie... though that wasn't the uniqueness to which i refer.
I meant All those sins we think are only ours... those challenges that no one can possibly understand because no one's had to face it quite like me... that sentiment of being unique which isolates us and leaves us feeling misunderstood and irredeemable--like the atonement is a great idea for others, but for us, we've just gone beyond the point of no return... well... none of that is true--Christ's atonement swallows all of that up, so great and so complete was his sacrifice for us.
I like in the song how it states, "He meets us whereever we are."

That's called terminal uniqueness in some of the 12 step programs I frequent. Because, unchecked, it will get an addict dead -- one way or another. (Ok, the community meetings don't mention the atonement bit. Just to be clear.)
