you know... there is one of those slides somewhere in AZ... I have seen it... But I can't remember where we were. My kids were older...

Anyway the cutouts go "down" but the allusion was that they will "shred" you... It seemed like a pretty cool slide and the kids we saw were making faces as they came down it like that too and the parents took pictures... It was FUNNY... I did notice that the parents had to be careful where they were standing when taking the picture or the allusion disappeared...

But then, maybe it was a "painful" memory (in more ways than one) that he's suppressed.

After decades of therapy and counseling, I have finally recalled the memory...

Seems to me you didn't invite me to slide down... you pushed me down in a fit of pre-adolescent Raybies when I told you that you were still too young to join the Cub Pack, and therefore could not be one of my sub-ordinate generals in the recess playground wars.

p.s. I bet you would have never guessed that the first jungle gym that was ever patented and invented was back in 1920. And I bet you never would have guessed it was by a lawyer! Now that is forward thinking for helping create job security! w00t.gif

Speaking of fun playground equipment of yesteryear...

We live near the Elementary school that MrCoco attended and when he was little, they had this massive turning tube thingey with wheels. Like the turning tunnel in the fun house at the amusement parks? Except this thing would turn AND get pushed around the big (I'm guessing 12-ish acres) playground. It was a blast! Then the slower kids started getting squished too much so they had to get rid of it.

They likewise had to get rid of the large, heavy-duty merry-go-round spinner deal because the new generations were getting hurt...

And the zip line...
