I'm claustrophobic, so this makes my skin crawl just to think about it.

During the last several nights I've spent a good many hours in the CT room. I can't imagine forgetting the patient. Of course, I'm working trauma, and the CT is vital in determining whether we do an immediate operation.
In my future practice, I am going to hire the best staff I can afford (I'll probably pay higher than typical pay in order to attract the best talent). If they aren't up to snuff then they'll be fired.
I've heard it is the receptionist who makes or breaks a physician's office reputation.
When my OB retired two years ago and I had to go search for a new one, I bawled for like a week. I could've cared less who his receptionist was and honestly can't picture a single one of them in my mind.
But that's good - get good people. Like House. But don't fire them like House.
