Just thought I'd reaffirm my selfaffirmation in your direction Cat!! When others think you're preachy apostate clown without body, parts, or passions, I think you're the grooviest!
Seriously I see you as a great dad and I admire the way you honor your priesthood and don't take things like Scouting lightly--but really catch the vision of such things. I think it shows a depth that most folks lack, cuz in our age of cynicism and sarcasm it takes a strong and decent guy to stand up for a young boy trying to grow into a man... that's like the last victim group out there to be defended, you know... :)
So when I call you Sidney Rigdon, I just want you to know that it's always in fun, cuz I know you can take a little razzing about your zealously apostate tendencies... :)
I also admire you for your hard work for your family, and the care you give to all your children, and how you try to stay positive and close to the Lord...
Huggers from a friend!

Cat, you are one of the reasons that I like coming to Bountiful. And I am glad that you finally got Poncho to join too!
Cat, I do like your poetry. I appreciate the experiences that you share as well that are Church related as well as family related. And your sense of humor is great!
Well my dear Cat, if you don't already know how I feel about ya then we've got problems. But, I think you're funny even if nobody else does. You and Jason are two peas in a pod.
Cat, you're a perty good ole' fella. I think Cat has a good heart and good intentions even if some of it sometimes gets lost in the translation... And I like his humor. And he doesn't back down... even when it's obvious he's dead wrong- oh, wait. I think he's a great father and obviously Ponch is madly in love with him, so he must be doin' something right on the homefront! Plus, he started Bountiful, right?

Actually, Arbi started Bountiful. I think my poor unfortunate hide was simply part of the catalyst for him to do so. The Palladin in me simply helped him create the kernal.

I think Coco expressed my thoughts well- I appreciate you do show support to people in posts and think you and Poncho share some good insights into life and your family experiences.
My dear Cat also turned down a request from the Young Women's presidency for one of us to chaperone a youth dance Saturday night. Why? Because it's our anniversary, 19 years and he wants to take me out! He remembered before I did.
My friend Cat does something that I have always admired in leaders: He takes a courageous stand on issues that are important. He clearly defines his position, he supports his position with passion and reason (a very rare combination), and he sticks to his convictions even if they're unpopular and seem offensive to some. Our communities, our country, and our world need more leaders like that. I believe the young men in Cat's troop are learning leadership from one of the best examples I have ever known.

Cat won't let me. Besides the photos I developed were from a canoe trip from last year. Oops! We still have to develop the scout camp ones. I get to look at them before Cat does. It will be interesting to see if there are any embarrassing photos in there. Then I could post them without Cat knowing about it. Muuwahahahah!
See, that is the safety of Activeboard's wonderous forum software... it don't work completely with Mac OS (as in you can't upload pictures from a Mac to the forum for some odd reason) And, as for the Scout Camp photos, since they are prints... well, you my dear sweet technically-savvy-deprived wife would have to figure out how to scan it, find the file on the downstairs computer, and then figure out how to get it to upload here... :bwahaha:
And no, you are not touching my work laptop... and even if you did, you wouldn't know how to logon to it...

We also want to see some embarrassing pictures of Cat. Maybe Cat wearing a hula outfit or some other bizzare Halloween costume. Cat dozing in Sacrament meeting would be good too! Don't let us down Pancho.
Unfortunately the Cat is right. I am not computer technically savvy. Too bad cuz I did get the scout photos developed yesterday and there's a great picture of Cat in full scout uniform from head to toe and 4 days worth of scout camp grime that I took myself. I took it the day I picked him up for our trip.
The way the shadows are cast in the picture he looks like he had wet his pants! (Sorry Cat I couldn't resist).
Oh, and Jason BTW it isn't a halloween costume but I have a picture of Cat dressed like Elvis for a road show. He did a great impression and was a huge hit and brought the house down!
Cat is a wonderful, decent human being. And, I don't deserve him. If you find a friend in Cat, then you have a friend for life. We have had our share of trials and continue to do so, but I could not endure them without him. I am blessed to be able to say that he is my eternal companion. Of course I am biased, but that goes without saying.
(Perusing some of the dates gone bad posts and recalling some of my own dating disasters was a great reminder)
Cat, though we disagree many times on political topics, I really value your convictions on gospel topics. I also appreciate your perspectives on social considerations such as what does and does not constitute acceptable behavior. I also admire the way in which you communicate your thoughts. At times, I wish I had been more be more forthright in my communication instead of being so careful in trying not to give offense. You have a gift for clear and direct communication. I've never had to try to figure out what you were "really" trying to say.
I think your recent moderation efforts have been commendable. Thank you, brother, for giving your time and talents to this community of saints.
