It also debunks the popular myth that Conservatives or Liberals (depending upon your political-orientation) really do have brains... they're just different.

So, I'm wondering if one was liberal and becomes conservative, does that mean that one's brain has actually changed?

Personally, I think scientists could find a way to explain anything if they really wanted to. And it seems like they do. What in the world would make someone even THINK to do a study like that?
"Oh, I can't help it. It's just how my brain works, duh."

If this was true, it would be awfully tempting for some world leader to start a eugenics program and make sure that people only have babies that agree with that world leader's philosophy.

Exploring the neurobiology of politics, scientists have found that liberals tolerate ambiguity and conflict better than conservatives because of how their brains work. OH PUULLLEEEEZ! And here are someone's tax dollars at work at public colleges within the California and New York higher education system... yea for publicly funded research! Yay for whatever that represents!
"there are two cognitive styles -- a liberal style and a conservative style," Okay, so we're going to create this theory based off the assumption that somehow a person's -- no less college kids -- political preference is somehow tied to how and when they press a button on a keyboard?
How about just putting it down more to the obvious that since these are college students, they are in the mode of life where they condition themselves on how to take tests and that perhaps a group of students with certain cognitive abilities look for patterns in tests as part of their overall test taking strategy whereas another group of students does not? There is absolutely no relation to political preference, and I bet that further studies done independently at other locations with a more diverse body of subjects would show this is only an interesting coincidence.
How about maybe there were more dyslexic people in the conservative test group than in the liberal test group? Hmmm... bet they never took that into account!
But, I could be wrong, because afterall I am conservative and according to this study, I tend to press the keyboard for M's when there are W's being shown.

Hey, this is the wave of the future - mind control! Seriously, mark my words. I'll be back to say, "I told you so!"

No you won't. Your mind will be controlled because studies will prove you are thinking you see egyptian heiroglyphics when they are flashing W on the monitor.
