After nearly 3 months I just found out that I was just awarded my B.S in Mathematics (emphasis in scientific computing). My diploma should be in the mail sometime soon. The waiting was painful, I had some little thought that they wouldn't give it to me for some reason.
Now I am probably going to be jumping through hoops to get into grad school, while I continue looking for some sort of decent job.

I thought you told us you graduated a couple months ago... wouldn't that also imply you earned the diploma that goes along with the degree?
Anyway, congratulations!
I didn't go to commencement for my BS at BYU (December grad, and I was sick of school and didn't want to feel like a guest of the class of '92 as I was officially class of '91... my Mom was about to throttle me, as I'm the only one of her kids where they didn't have a picture of me receiving the degree. It either got mailed to me, or I picked it up later at the administration building). Then, my commencement some 10 years ago when I finished grad school at Ohio State got rained out, and so no one got to march, get their picture taken shaking the university bigwhigs and receiving the shell to their diploma... I received my MBA with all the pomp and circumstance that could be mustered in the field house later that day (or a day or two later) from a faculty member of my program who was sitting on the floor of the field house digging through boxes of the packets as we got in semi organized line and worked our way up to him one by one.
