If you make people think they're thinking, they'll love you; But if you really make them think, they'll hate you. - Don Marquis Saw this quote from my quote of the day thingie on iGoogle. I thought of Coco and how she gets annoyed at how I overthink a lot of stuff... :)

See, I *care* about you. That's it. I see you slodging through your own self-inflicted turbulence of mind, and I want to *help* you. You get yourself into these... cognitive predicaments... and you're helpless to get out. That's where I come in and say, "Enough!" And rest assured, I am motivated by love.

So, if we take this measure in education, the teachers we love really don't teach us to think, whereas the teachers we hate really are.
So, if Ray is really saying he cares about someone, it must mean he hasn't had to think in response to their comments.
But if Coco says she hates Ray, it really means she appreciates the fact that he cares enough about her to make her think... but if he cared enough to make her think, it would imply that he really hasn't done anything but make her think that she thinks that he thinks she thinks about bottomless money pits in the magical kingdom of Crazy Doctrine Land...
