The difference is that they will not give into the temptations of Satan, as will those who were already alive at the beginning of the Millenium. Thus, they will have effectively bound him, just as those spoken of in The Book of Mormon after Christ's appearance.
They will not be perfect, for as the scripture says, all but Christ have sinned. So, maybe they will have relatively minor sins of omission compared to us.
Better than us? Don't know. Doesn't matter to me, because I'm not being graded against them.
Being in the right place at the right time? Methinks we got in the wrong line in the pre-existence after misreading the sign... What we thought said "Millenium" was a sign that said "Latter-days leading up to Millenium"... we didn't bother to read the whole thing... we just saw the word Millenium...

I just had a vision of my life in the pre-existence. Cat, Ray, and myself asking eachother for directions to the correct line to come down to earth in the last days. Finally, Roper comes over and tells us that he's in the right line and that were lost. Not having a clue and with no wives around to tell us otherwise we followed him over to the line he was in and ended up here. Thanks a lot Roper!!
Okay, that explains how the four of us ended up here in this time... And Arbi and Val probably just tagged along when they saw us moving... but somehow I don't think Pollyanna, Coco, Bok, or Euphie are gonna buy that as the reason for their being here too!

In our premortal life, we each developed talents and skills to the extent we could without a body.
My own belief is that with the guidance of our Father, we chose to come to earth at a time and place where we can further develop those talents and skills and use them to build the Kingdom. So I don't think millenial babies will be better--they'll just have talents and skills well suited to being born at that time.
And as for the line theory--I spied a little thing and I followed her. She was wearing cheap sunglasses. Oh yeah! (Can't believe Cat didn't include ZZ Top in his list of inappropriate music. They don't even try for innuendo--they just come right out and say it.)

This is quite similar to the question I had a while back as to the fairness of those born during the Millenium and not facing the trials, hardships, and temptations we now face. Personally, I don't know and it about drove me nuts because it seems to me like some are getting an easier go of it than others. Those born in the Millenium, to my understanding, will not have to deal with poverty, wondering how to put shoes on their kids feet or cover a medical bill or how to pay thousands to fix a foundation problem (me doing this right now), because their will be no rich or poor.
They will not have to know the evils or temptations of porn, drugs, alcohol, hate, anger, etc. They will live under a perfect, honest government headed by Christ. Their will be fairness, equity, and justice. They will not know war, or always have to maintain situational awareness, clear a home because someone might have broken, or always wear a weapon for protection, they will know no fear.
This, of course, is what we would like now for our families and selves.
Are they better, I don't know. I have had personal issues with the fairness of it all, it has bothered me a lot as to why they get out of it and we don't. I just decided to let God deal with it and not worry about it. Another of those things He has removed from me.

Val, another way to look at it may be that those born in the millenium will be so strong and valiant that it is their strength that effectively binds Satan. Plus, there's the whole managing the Kingdom of God thing, and we've seen how we've mismanaged the kingdoms of men for the past several thousand years, so maybe a new generation unspoiled by greed and violence will be what it takes to keep God's govoernment running. Just speculation here...
In the millenium, we'll be here too. And probably still having children of our own during that time. As a parent, I would give anything for my children to be born and raised in the millenium rather than in this corrupt world.

Oh yeah, sure, blame it on her brown skin shining in the sun and hair combed back too! More likely you were wearing your sunglasses at night again! (ZZ Top did come to mind, but then I thought that was a bit over the top since I can honestly say I don't recall hearing any of their music played at youth or young adult dances... Perhaps I should have included the Rolling Stones, cuz some of their music has been heard, and they're almost as blatant as ZZ Top).

Honestly I don't trouble myself as much about the corrupt world as I wish I knew how to be the perfect parent in a corrupt world. I know that's unrealistic, but I wonder if that's a factor in what will make the Millenium so great, is that parents will have access and support, knowledge and the ability to be much better than we are now.
