It is Sunday, after church. What is you doing as a family?

As I sit here doing a weekend check on Bountiful, the kids and mom are watching the DVD of the movie "Against The Crooked Sky", the youngest is taking a nap, and I appear to be the only one still fasting...

ha ha ha ha, rofl.gif MM... It's almost 5:30 pm here... I am trying to scrape together enough energy to go to a fireside at the church hosted by the HP Group... Hubby is working tonight, but the kids are going... The 2 RMs that are speaking tonight are some of our adopteds... So I really WANT to go...

I opted for laying down over eating with the family... After prayer I grabbed a small "lasagna sandwich" and some snow peas to munch on... the peas were freshly picked yesterday in our HTer's greenhouse...

Yes'sr they was sure tasty!!! wink.gif

My husband is still fasting. I don't while nursing, so it's just him in our house. The kids are making forts out of the couch cushions in the front room. Hubby is playing with the baby, and I am checking in quickly while waiting for the bread bowls to go with the crock stew to finish rising.

oh...we had a wonderful fast Sunday! This morning I spent reading the Ensign while lounging around in my robe, and then I got dressed so that my fiance could come over and we watched "Music and the Spoken Word". Then I helped him write his family newsletter so that we could remember all the fun we've had this month (we both need to get better at writing in journals). We had a late church, and then the ward's "Break the Fast" afterward, which was a lot of fun because we accidentally sat at the table with the "old people", as they call themselves (aka the Bishop, his wife, and the Executive Secretary and his wife) and we just had a blast talking to them. They were joking that we were just practicing for when we are in a family ward. After that we decided to watch "The Other Side of Heaven", which was awesome fun because we were both sharing Elder Groberg stories that have touched us in our lives. And after that I put some ice on his neck because he had a really bad headache, and we were just having good ol' conversations. Then we read some scriptures and he told me of some personal stories as well as some mission stories with that story in the scriptures, we had some Jello, and then I left and am now getting ready to go to bed.

I sure do love Sundays! I prefer morning church to afternoon, but this week I wasn't even tempted to go to sleep! I just wanted to rest my head. I forget the summer fasting headaches. It's so hot and I never drink enough water anyway, but luckily I didn't get it as bad as my fiance. Sundays are just so rejuvenating for me! I've felt so filled with the Lord's love that I just can't stop smiling! :)

Last Sunday the kids and I wrote greeting cards to their cousins.

I drew a card with nine mermaids on the front, and it names the cousins and then says, "9 out of 10 mermaids love you!"

Then you open the card and inside it says...

"Oh, and Don't worry about the tenth. We suspect it's just squid with seashells..."

And below it is a picture I drew of a squid with a seashell bikini.

The cousins really like mermaids, so I figured it'd make them laugh.
