Well it's friday and I'm feeling a bit overdone so I thought I would take a poll of what your favorite movies made by the Duke are.
Personally I like:
Hatari: Made me want to go to Africa Donavons Reef: Good feel good picture Fighting CBs: B&W but still good. Sons of Katie Elder McClintock Big Jake Hellfighters In Harms Way Chisum The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance: Bonus of Jimmy Stewart The Comancheros: That spanish girl was easy on the eyes, also a bonus. The Searchers Sands of Iwo Jima El Dorado: Corny but fun.
I can tollerate a few others too. The Shootist is good but sad because it was his last.
Jason!!!! How could you possibly have forgotten ONE of his BEST??? (Okay, your list was pretty good... but REALLY???) The Quiet Man... Classic John and Maureen...
Not to mention, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon....
I also liked Red River There are just so many... Maybe I will start a Cary Grant thread..... ....... ........
I like McClintock. I think I remember my Dad liking Chisum. I think he tried to name a dog that once. I haven't watched too many, actually. Not that it's stopping me from chiming in...
My dad is a BIG JW fan, so growing up I saw them all. Can't really pick a favorite.
My oldest ds also became a BIG fan watching the movies with grandpa. Joe saw Green Berets when he was five and from then on all he talked about was going into the military. He joined the Army at 18 and 8 yrs later he's still in.
Even all 3 of my girls like JW and youngest son enjoys most of the movies.
True Grit and Rooster Cogburn (Catherine Hepburn and John Wayne played well against each other). Green Berets was okay, but kind of jumped the shark in some aspects (again, JW and most of his comprades were almost invincible).

It seems to me the only thing you've learned is that Caesar is a "salad dressing dude."
