Newbie here

Contact from another forum told me about this site.  Nice to be around like minded people.

Been married 41 years next month.  Converted 32 years ago when we had two young sons.  Went on to have 3 more kids.  Now have 9 grandchildren with #10 on the way.... and only 2 are producing as of yet.

Have had the privilage of teaching early morning seminary (Utah is not my original home) and taught primary for 18 straight years (I think the Bishops hated me).

Background also includes too many years in politics. Served on the DNC where I discovered what the Party was really up to so I jumped ship instead of compromising my ideals.

Welcome, Convert.  And it sounds like bishops really loved you if you got to serve in Primary for so long.  I was only there for three years, and I've been trying to get back ever since.

You realize you're a kill joy don't you?  Joking aside I moderate a political forum and one of the first things I do is remind newbies to read the rules.  In case you're wondering, yes, I read them here. smile

Well, that explains why ray has taken to wearing a loin cloth recently!  biggrin

Welcome Convert!  Promise I won't hold it against you for living in Utah... wink.gif

Welcome Convert! Promise I won't hold it against you for living in Utah... wink.gifIf it helps...... I'm a 5th generation Washingtonian, as in Pacific Northwest.  Add to that living in Alaska for 20 years.

This heat and high desert scenery is doing a number on me.

Welcome to Bountiful. Ray's not so bad just scary in that loin cloth. Mine's got tiger stripes on it though so it's cool!

Welcome Convert! I'm glad you have experience moderating! That means that when we, the Bountiful moderators, fall flat on our face trying to moderate, you'll understand.

Hey, it isn't falling flat on our faces... it is assuming a reclining pose with style!

Mahonri, you must be in the area if you're going to Logan for your mother's birthday.  BTW, I have a twin brother, a grandson and a g-grandfather born on that day as well.   Wish her a Happy Birthday for me. cake.gif

Be careful in the Canyon, its a death trap.

That's a neat story about the grandfather.

That's a long drive.  A stop over in Salt Lake would be good for the eyeballs.
