Apparently there've been specific deaththreats made against Prince Harry if he goes to Iraq. This is an interesting situation to me, but dibs go to the Prince for being willing to fight for his nation's freedoms alongside the common military man.
Members of the Royal Family have served in harms way in several conflicts and wars. I think this time though he was a specific target of terrorists hoping to embarrass the west. I think he could still serve in the theater perhaps on ship as a liason between ground and air forces.
I was very impressed by Harry's desire to go. I have a lot of respect for him.
But, as has been said before, any group he was with would have it's danger quotient increased exponentially. Now, Harry's own danger quotient is his decision, but putting others in undue danger is not a wise use of trained soldiers.
