Here is an article about an expert climatologist who thinks that we're just in a normal warming cycle. What I thought was most interesting was his statement that if you went outside and spit it would cause more warming than a doubling of the co2. And it's not like this guy is some whacko who thinks that a microscope is the thing that hangs around a doctor's neck. He's very well known in the field of climatology.

Dilbert, next thing we know you'll be handing out flat earth society pamphlets!

I was reading on Fox News' web site about some guy running a group called Sea Shephard who wants to limit the world population to less than 1 billion people and that we are a virus destroying the planet. These freaks scare me almost as much as Islamic terrorists. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,270578,00.html
Jason, sounds like that dude has been playing Final Fantasy and attending Mother Earth conventions a bit too much... I tell ya, them gaiaists are some strange, I say strange, puppies.

Unfortunately that environmentalists opinion is not uncommon. Jacques Cousteau, for instance, made some statements to that effect.

Well, for those of us who accept the Doctrine and Covenants as scripture from The Lord, then we can easily tell the source of where that sort of philosophy (not environmentalism as a whole, but population control and that sort of stuff) comes from, and it ain't the same source as where the Doctrine and Covenants came from since He told us that "the earth is full and there is enough and to spare"

Was that the same one that wanted to make it an enviromental misdomeaner to have more than two children?
I don't know. There were two different wackos described in the article. One guy wants to limit the folks that can have children to those that really understand and care about the health of the earth and overpopulation. These folks remind me of the Nazis.
Anytime someone talks about limiting the right to parenthood to those who agree with his political position, he's a wacko. No matter how vital he may claim his political position is to mankind, he is in it for power, and not out of a concern for humanity.
