Righteous dominion

D&C 121:46:  The Holy Ghost shall be thy constant companion, and thy scepter an unchanging scepter of righteousness and truth; and thy dominion shall be an everlasting dominion, and without compulsory means it shall flow unto thee forever and ever.

I expect each of us has been a party to a lesson, discussion, lecture, conference talk, etc. about unrighteous dominion.  Verse 46 indicates there is a form of dominion that is righteous.  What is righteous dominion?

I think it gets back to the stewardship concept - you're given responsibility over something in order to develop it and make it better. Also, I think it involves only asking righteous things. For instance, it would be unrighteous dominion to ask your kid to go steal your neighbor's new fishing pole. It would be righteous dominion to ask your kid to mow the lawn.
I think it also depends on what method of encouragement you use. Yelling at your kid to read the scriptures is unrighteous. Using long suffering and persuasion to get them to read their scriptures is righteous dominion.

Righteous Dominion: Leadership with the pure love of Christ.

When we have charity, we have the Holy Spirit as our almost constant companion.

As we learn to love like God loves, as we receive revelaton as we do the things that we have seen Him do, we become His witnesses. What we say and what we do become closer and closer... and without compulsion, the work flows out into the world and continues to grow.

The Church will soon begin to grow in a way that many would not have believed possible. My children will witness it.

I thank Our Heavenly Father for His Son's atonement. Without it we would be out here without the further light and knowledge He has promised to send us. Regular repentance with reverence for and adoration of His son will bring required revelation.
