An article on my man Thompson

http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/013/528aylls.asp?pg=1

"If he joins the race for the Republican nomination, and if he campaigns the same way he spoke to me last week, Fred Thompson, a mild-mannered, slow-talking southern gentleman, will run as the politically aggressive conservative that George W. Bush hasn't been for four years. And the actor in the race could well be the most authentic personality in the field."

Wow!@  Great Article.  Thaks for sharing it.  Of all the current and potentials in the republican primary, Fred Thompson is the only one that gets me excited.  I like his politics and the fact that he doesn't sound like a politician when he talks.  His core values seem to be more solid or consistent over time.  I think it is wise for him to hold off making an announcement.  It helps build excitement and will make him look fresh when the other guys are looking stale.

I like him too, however he isn't in the race yet.

I just hope that when he joins the primary, that he won't split the conservative vote and we end up with Guiliani or McCain (I would vote for either of them over Hillary Clinton or Obama though).

I would really like any combo of Romney, (Fred) Thompson, Hunter, or Huckabee as the Republican ticket.
