Scientists are looking for something they call "dark matter", which is basically a type of matter that they don't see which would explain the apparent mass of the universe. I was thinking - is it possible that this unseen matter is spiritual matter? We're told that spirits are made of matter as well, just of a finer type that our normal eyes can't see. That sounds a great deal like the dark matter that they're looking for.

First it was gray matter and now dark matter. Does it really matter. I just want to go through the Star Gate and kick some booty with MacGuyver, a nerdy archeologist, a hot brainy blond, and black guy with a strange forehead tattoo. Is that asking too much?
Does it make you start to think along the lines of the "second coming is close at hand" ? I think the discovery could be something like that but I don't think we would be allowed to discover "spiritual matter," I just think the end would come first.
I can't fathom what is in store for us...for our kids? what will they see? what will they be a part of?

It all sounds so... dark... Dark matter is what the Emporer's secret Dark Forces are made of... Or maybe it is what you get on your couch and clothes when your pet black hole sheds...
I'd like to know how the scientists have found a scale big enough to measure the mass of the universe when I can't even find a scale tough enough to withstand the demands put on it by my children and that can still end up working to provide an accurate accounting of my brawn and girth...
And, since there is a relation between our physical body and our spirit body, does it mean when we get overweight, fat and dumpy in our physical body, does our spirit end up mirroring it? Actually, don't answer that. I'd rather keep the mental image that my spirit self looks like one of those buff guys from the Book of Mormon paintings...
