I have always thought he was a bit of a dirtbag wrapped in a facade.  And here I thought it was always just the over the top use of hair spray to keep his coiffe in place.

I was never impressed with Gingrich. I was so excited when the Republicans took over the majority in the Congress (I was still a republican back then), but it seemed at the time like Gingrich squandered all of the momentum that the Republicans gained.

Isn't this old news?  I remember hearing about it during the Clinton fiasco.  Maybe it was just rumor.  Did you guys honestly not hear about this the first time around?

I can honestly say I don't remember. And if I did, well, it certainly didn't add any credibility to his leadership. Why did he leave Congress? I don't remember...
