Ana Nicole

So number 5 has now come forward claiming to be the father.

For heavens sake, did she entertain a different man every day?

If she had used the frozen semen, who inseminated her with it?

Does anyone else get sick of this garbage?

I've been sick of it since her son passed away. I feel sorry for the baby girl, but Anna and her son were adults and made their choices and have paid a heavy price for them. And for all these "men" coming out and claiming to be the daddy, where were they when she was alive? They had 5 months to come forward. Money, or the hope of controlling the millions that little girl may inherit sure does bring out the dogs. I sure hope the father is that guy who from the beginning said he was, he's in it for the benefit of the baby.

I think this is very illustrative of our society as a whole. First, that there are such people as Anna Nichole. Second, that there are so many people who are so interested in the saga. How do you explain the news to an 11 year old boy anymore?

Yep, right there with ya, crazymom.  Money and fame are at the center of it all... why else would these men all start professing to have behaved in unseemly fashions in the past with this woman of ill repute?  If the reports of a will are accurate, then anything she had, including any wealth that she (or her estate now) ever gets from the estate of the old geezer oil tycoon she was married to goes all to the baby girl.  Baby girl is a minor.  She needs a guardian.  Guardian may have some control over any trust that gets set up from proceeds of mommy's estate.  But... question is, who is the executor of mommy's will and who sets up the trust?

How do you explain the news to an 11 year old?  Easy.  You tell him this is about a woman who broke lots of the Lord's commandments in order to obtain fame and fortune, and in the end after getting that fame and fortune, had nothing but a "tragic" ending to a life that she no longer had control over, and a whole pile of mess she left behind.

I am actually thrilled no one brought up this topic here until now.  I wish the media would drop it.  Surely, there are more newsworthy things to talk about instead of this soap opera.  Between this and the little bit of coverage they have done on James Brown's estate... you would think the media has turned into The People's Court or something.

Tim Hardaway (who does he play for?), Ana Nicole (what happened to her, anyway?), Brittany Spears shaves her head.  What kind of a country are we when get excited over that kind of rubbish?  And why does the media push that kind of rubbish ahead of things we ought ot know and be more concerned about?  I'd much rather the news media investigate and bring us the truth about the reasons for our open borders, the real reason for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, stories about all the 2008 presidential hopefuls, the reasons so many people believe and claim that the trade towers were rigged with demolition devices, etc.

As I was listening to cow-orkers lament over the sad and tragic life she had, and how she was a victim of so many things, Alma 30:60 came into my mind:  And thus we see the end of him who perverteth the ways of the Lord; and thus we see that the devil will not support his children at the last day, but doth speedily drag them down to hell.

Sorry.  No sympathy here.  And aside from the initial story that popped up on Google news, I haven't followed it.  I simply just don't care.

What I really want to know is if Lorn Michaels (SNL Producer) is really Mephistopheles.   Why have actors who got their start on SNL, and then later had successful careers, died in such tragic ways?  Did they have to sell their soul to Lorn for their big break, and then later try to get out of the deal?

Sheesh, Ray, you should know that you have to wait a year to do that! Don't worry, though, there will be plenty of people submitting her name. The press likes to rag on the church because of those members who don't listen to the council (only submit names of people you are related to or know personally) and regularly submit the names of celebrities, often multiple times.

I can't take it any more!  I'm having a duct tape moment come on!  Enough already with the main news story being about the circus of a court proceedings going on concerning who gets to be the legal next of kin (and ergo has the more legitimate claim to guardianship of the baby and the precedent to claim the fortune that may eventually be coming the way of this royally messed up person's estate)...

Did anyone know the judge running the show down in Florida is buckin' for his own TV show?  He is using the judicial process and authority vested in him as his own flippin' informal audition tape!

And yet, you can't run away from it without totally shutting yourself off to all news sources. Like when Pamela Anderson had her breast implants removed, I heard about it even though I have no interest in following the stars lives.

But these stories even permeate talk radio, which disgusts me.

I've even turned the channel when Glen Beck was talking about it because I don't think it is news.  I hope that Glen is done with the Anna Nicole stuff.  It gets so much air time but the news that Iran missed the UN deadline on the nukes is hardly mentioned.  Iran is violating a UN mandate that can potentially lead to death of every person on the planet but the media seems more concerned about who's going to burry the former playmate and who might be the daddy of her little girl.  This celebrity stuff is completely pointless.

On that I would have to disagree with you. It has a point - to keep people distracted from the real problems we're facing.

Now that is kind of a virtual TMI moment... but then again, so is anything relating to Anna Nicole, Madonna, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Christine Aguilara, Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Barbara Streisand, Rosie O'Donell, Donald Trump, Martha Stewart, Micheal Jackson, Alan Jackson, George Clooney (aside from Oh Brother Where Art Thou), Hulk Hogan, the whole Osborne family, Mariah Carey, Simon Cowell and his co-judges, Judge Judy, ________ (fill in the blank and keep the list going)...

The judge cried!? The judge cried!!!??!?!?!!!!!!

There's no crying in the US Justice system!!! Sheeesh... what a pansy!! Talk about being caught up in the moment. I swear his children and his children's children, and his children's children's children will forever be known as the children of the crybaby judge...

Talk about making the whole country cringe all the more... Just lay down the judgement and be done with it... what's up with this need to show empathy, especially about such a nonsensical matter!?

Unfortunately, in a world where a large portion of young adults have, as their only news source, the Daily Show on Comedy Central, can you really expect people to care about serious news?
What's even more shocking is that I read a study that the Daily Show has as much real news in it as a standard news show. The Daily Show has more humor and satire. A standard news show has more sizzle and fluff. But actual news they both have about the same amount.

In terms of pure physical assets I'd have to say she was pretty. But due to her multitude of sins, she always looked repulsive to me. I think that "plain" women who are nevertheless very kind and very spiritual are much better looking.
One thing men fail to take into account is that it's better to have a life companion than a toy. Even the lowliest of prostitutes are real women and daughters of our Heavenly Father, not mere sex toys. And therefore, in whatever dealings you have with them, you are having dealings with a real person. If that real person is mean, petty, and vindictive, you're going to pay a really high price for your "fun". But if you choose a woman who makes a good wife, then you get constant enjoyment just from being around her. I enjoy going home and talking to my wife, for instance. I think it would be a horrible existence to have a "trophy wife" who, while perhaps fulfilling certain carnal desires, would make the rest of your existence a living hell.
Anyway, that's my long way of saying that if you want long term happiness, it's what's inside that counts.
Of course, my wife is the most beautiful woman in the world, so I'm lucky that I got someone who I enjoy being around and is beautiful.

Blonde hair and large breasts. Meh.

To me, what makes a woman truly beautiful is the way she treats others. My mother is one of the Top Ten Most Beautiful Women In The World. My wife is on that list. So is Jana from Jade House. So is a friend whom I haven't seen in over 15 years.

I can't think of a single celebrity worthy of consideration.

What's that saying, beauty is only skin deep... well, by now, it has probably just started to ooze out all over...

Talk is the judge has a television deal now, the lawyer mooch guy doesn't have a legal claim to the Bahamas mansion because it was a "loaner" that Ms. Smith was supposed to be paying mortgage payments on as a rent to own thing but she hadn't been making payments, her Mom is appealing the courts decision and the old boyfriend has gone to the Bahamas for a paternity ruling or something.

In all this, have we once heard what Zsa Zsa has had to say?  I mean, for crying out loud, we should at least be able to see her slapping her husband on Entertainment Tonight or something...

NOTE:  word of the day.  "uglify"

Not in my dictionary, but it works.

Added to the list which includes "strategery"

Great words go together!!
