I am absolutely sorry, but these folks (The National Jewish Democratic Council) have no idea what they are talking about with regards to the Henry Ford Museum... They are confusing it with the Henry Ford Estate -- Fair Lane
This is one of the largest musuem complexes in the mid-west! It has all kinds of exhibits about US History and is very racially / ethinically diverse in it's approach to history. It is not a glorification of Ford.
Anyway, the two locations are nearly 2 1/2 miles apart, and I'm sure neither the U of M nor The Henry Ford Musuem / Greenfield Village care to be slurred as somehow being anti-semitic simply because the man Henry Ford had an industrial honor bestowed on him by Nazi Germany pre-WWII. The man is responsible for developing the first efficient modern industrial assembly line, which revolutionized heavy industry and manufacturing as it was adopted around the world. A little perspective is in order, as he didn't go seeking praise from Hitler...
I wonder if Glen Beck is gonna pick up on this?
eta I modified the thread title as it didn't appear to be very nice in retrospect.
