Do we ever consciously take into account our (or other's) inherent desire / need to connect with others in meaningful ways in how we interact with others?

I wasn't sure if this topic made more sense in General Discussions or LDS Discussions.  What do you think?

Obviously, since we are all LDS here, many if not most discussions are going to have perspectives, even if the topic itself is not overtly gospel oriented.

I think this thread belongs in General Discussions because the topic itself is not unique to LDS life.
