This supports what I have been saying all along. We are in world war three but were fighting like were're in Panama. It is all part of a larger war in the middle east and for some reason (political) no one really wants to state the obvious.
How many Americans really want to put forth the sacrifices necessary to fight another world war? No politician wants to even suggest to us that we may need to, except for Gingrich.

Peace at any cost...reminds me of the U.S. prior to December 7, 1941.

The scary part is, we've already had our Pearl Harbor: our December 7 was September 11. American culture is truly sedated into a state of denial and distraction. We as a nation lack moral backbone because we are immoral.

From the inception of this conflict our political leaders have told us that we should not change our lifestyle... keep on doing things as normal...
IMHO, that smacks of "All is well in Zion" when the vandals are at the gate. Is it no wonder that Americans don't want to put forth the sacrifices to win the war?

September 11th should have been our Pearl Harbor, but we as a nation, and our leaders have not treated it as such. We've made some moves, but not the big ones we need to. It's just so wildly unpopular and un-p.c. to use the necessary force we need to to win against this evil.
Speaking of 9-11 being our generation's Pearl Harbor, I was flippin' through the channels either Saturday evening or late last night before going to bed and saw the description for some show about this guy comparing 9-11 to America's version of Pompeii / Mt. Vesuvius... I thought to myself, now that is really stretching it. I didn't even bother turning to that channel and went on watching some old Christmas movie until Mrs. Cat Herder and I were ready to go to bed...
