Al Qaeda in Iraq's purported leader vowed on Friday that his fighters would never rest until they have reached Jerusalem and destroy the White House.

Maybe the Democrats can let this leader know that the White House isn't in Jerusalem.

"Describing George W. Bush as "the most stupid president" in U.S. history..."

I wonder how many US presidents this Abu Ayyub al-Masri can name. Three, maybe?

It's not only propaganda, it's baaaaaad propaganda.

Some conservatives seem upset Bush seems ready to capitulate on certain issues.  However, it reminds me of the prophet Samuel's dilemma  when the people wanted a king.  When he refused, the Lord told him to let them have a king with a warning attached. Bush knows the people have spoken and he will grant them their wish.

The war in Iraq is obviously not going well. However, to turn the war over to people who are intent on leaving before the job is done is going to make the situation worse in the long run.  Lose 5000 troops now, or 500,000 troops later : that is our choice.  Losing none during a period of war is a pipe dream of the Utopian modern liberals, who think freedom is bought with diplomacy and not blood. It cost us blood to gain our freedom, and once gone, only blood will bring it back, to quote J. Reuben Clark.

I predict an emboldened enemy and a cowering Democratic congress, unless Joe Lieberman and other hawkish Democrats can have say in their own party.
