gay congressman's "spouse" denied benefits

Apparently there are still some good things in Congress. According to this article, Congress won't pay any portion of former Congressman Studd's pension to his surviving "spouse". The homosexual activists are using this as an example of inequity. I think that it's an example that not everything has been turned upside down yet.

Makes sense because the federal government doesn't recognize gay marriage.  Of course there will be a lawsuit initiated by the ACLU along with a lot of tear jerking media reports showing children of gay couples suffering from the homophobic nature of the system.  Key hollywood types will be featured leading vigils etc, etc.  Cry me a river!
