My son and I were driving home from my brother's house today, and he mentioned that instead of having his bedtime at 9pm Mountain Time, he wanted his bedtime to be 9pm New York time. He obviously mistook the direction the time zones go, and thought that would make his bedtime effectively later. I immediately pounced on the idea, said I agreed, then explained to him that it would effectively mean him going to bed at 7pm Mountain time now. He spent a long while trying to explain to me that that's not really what he meant. Tomorrow at 7pm MDT we're going to pretend that we're going to make him live up to his word.

What I would like to know Arbilad, is why are you setting your brother's bed time? Isn't he a big boy now that he has his own house?
Oops, I should have written, "My son and I were driving from my brother's house". I was talking about my son. That should teach me not to post late at night.
