Hi! I'm Megan, I'm 20 and am currently working on getting my BS in Mechanical Engineering (no need to shoot me, school is already doing it! Although I must say that being in a lab where I am the only female isn't all that bad! )

ummm....I'm pretty bad at introductions. I usually prefer to answer inquiries about who I am than to just blab, so I'll keep it short for now.

I am a social nerd, but that means I fit into most situations.
I'm a ward missionary and plan on going on a mission in a year provided I'm still single and it won't mess with my scholarship.
I love to hear opinions because it forces me to decide which side I stand on.
I love talking about the Gospel and learning more about who I am and how to get where I'm going.
I'm always open to the giving and taking of advice, but I think that asking questions and helping one to advise themself is much more effective.
My mom thought I was dating Josh Groban because I had to get him out of my dad's truck.
And lastly, I'm really glad that there's a cow emoticon because I like cows!

I look forward to getting to know you all!

Megan

We're glad to have you. I hope you enjoy your stay here, and please feel free to be opinionated. Although most posters here would fall under the label "conservative", you'd be suprise at the variance in opinion.
I think we're starting to form our own identity here, but you'll also probably find a lot of inside jokes that carried over from other boards. Don't let that scare you. We're usually pretty nice people

Kind of sugar coating things aren't you?  Let's be honest with the poor girl, this is a war zone.  Get on yer flack jacket and get ready for incoming motar fire!

I herewith formally wish to announce that should our beloved Pink Floyd decide to rejoin with us in Bountiful, he will need to find a new Avatar to share with us all his individuality...  The Snoopy Avatar was not retired, and has now been "assigned" to Megan.

moderator side bar: Hey arbi, is there a way we can set up the Avatar library to end up being a one to one relationship?  That way, everyone gets their own unique Avatar if they don't upload their own...

Jason, don't worry about Megan.  She made it through le Legion's basic training... She'll do fine here.

Actually, I do have a cow avatar on another forum, I just have to bring it over here. In fact, I'd have to go with Snoopy as the Red Baron if I went Peanuts because that's who I was for our Super Hero dance. I do like the jazzed up version, as I was in jazz band for a year and totally miss it, but yeah. This is just temporary until I have time (which obviously I don't have if I'm posting at midnight...lol! especially since I'm playing racquetball at 8am)

Ah yes, the Legion... I guess I am stronger for it. Can't seem to fight the guys off of me! ;) Well, there are still a few who could still definitely use the lessons, but some aren't in such the need.

Well, in jazz band I played the Alto Sax, but sadly I was only in jazz band for a year. For 5 years before that I played the clarinet, and I actually bought one last summer so now I'm playing it again when I have the chance. I've also played the piano since I was 8 or so...maybe younger. I love music, so I played around with lots of instruments in the day. Now I'm just down to clarinet and the piano when I go down to the institute or to the neighbors who have a piano.

But, racquetball I play 1-2 times a week. I absolutely love it!

A belated welcome, Megan.

I think it's totally righteous that you're studying mechanical engineering.  I struggle to keep most of my female students interested in math and science. And in elementary, most of them don't think about becoming engineers.

Too bad you don't live close to Fort Worth--I'd invite you to career day.
