So, what are you and your family planning to do for Labor Day (or have already done, depending on when you read this post). We're going to have a barbeque on Saturday, and do a picnic on Monday. We don't have a lot of means right now to go out and do exciting stuff. But even those two activities will make it a nice 3 day weekend.

We were going to go to a lake today, but we called, and they will only allow 3 people in a canoe at a time, which isn't as much fun, since there are 4 of us. Instead we spent the day at the mall. We got some toys and clothes for kids' birthdays coming up. We played in the kiddie area. Had some lunch. Browsed the pet store. And stayed a wee bit too long past nap time and dragged cranky kids home. Then we all had a rest and had a picnic in the backyard (complete with blanket and basket) tonight.
Tomorrow we're having an extended family lunch for my sister who graduated from college (it was in May...we're behind). And we'll probably do bowling or a movie or something.
Monday there's a community carnival-type thing we'll probably drop in on.
Mrs. Cat Herder is working a full day at her paid job... so, it will be a "wonderful" labor day for us on Monday... They have had her working full day's every holiday since spring, so it makes it really hard to even try and plan to do anything (assuming everyone in the family is healthy) over these three day weekends.
We'll probably throw some sacrificial meat on the grill and hope the weather is nice so the kids can play outside. And, we'll probably go to the store and buy the school supplies we haven't looked into yet since school starts in the next day or two after that...
