Climategate is major news on the worldwide web, but it merits barely a mention in the mainstream news. Giving this latest scandal the press it deserves would get in the way of this massive new energy control agenda that will lead to doubling of electricity prices in developed countries and create a novel new financial Cap and Trade scheme that will funnel billions back and forth into the coffers of major players.
Another blow to the movement is the temporary resignation of Phil Jones, the head of East Anglia University's Climatic Research Unit, the prime mover in providing the UN with falsified data on climate warming. As the Wall Street Journal noted, "The British scientist at the heart of a scandal over climate-change research temporarily stepped down Tuesday as director of a prominent research group amid an internal probe that follows the release of hacked emails involving him and other scientists." I'm sure they will try to clear his name so that he can come back on board. Jones has been instrumental in getting some $20M in government grants to fund climate research.
This is why it is vital that we snatch Congress from Democrat control ASAP. As much as I don't like the GOP that much more, they are more likely to put a stop to this madness of marching off the cliff with bad data on climate change. If these global measures pass along with cap and trade, the US economy will get left in the dust by China and India.
All for the religion of science. I don't mind science when it follows scientific principle. It is fascinating and helpful to modern day life. But science as a religion is awful.

The UN Copenhagen climate talks are in disarray today after developing countries reacted furiously to leaked documents that show world leaders will next week be asked to sign an agreement that hands more power to rich countries and sidelines the UN's role in all future climate change negotiations.
The document is also being interpreted by developing countries as setting unequal limits on per capita carbon emissions for developed and developing countries in 2050; meaning that people in rich countries would be permitted to emit nearly twice as much under the proposals.
The so-called Danish text, a secret draft agreement worked on by a group of individuals known as "the circle of commitment" but understood to include the UK, US and Denmark has only been shown to a handful of countries since it was finalised this week.

It appears that the heavyweights at the Copenhagen Climate Change conference are proceding full speed ahead toward imposing unreasonable limits on CO2 emissions in spite of the evidence of falsification of climate data. The mainstream news media (MSM) is definitely not giving us the same stories that one finds on websites like www.worldaffairsbrief.com , which summarizes and provides links each day to a variety of articles on this and other subjects. For example, I don't think the MSM reported that one of the main whistleblowers on the ClimateGate scandal got knocked about by police the other day in Copenhagen, and that there is much discension between representatives of developed and underdeveloped nations as the latter have figured out they are gonna get shafted instead of rich from the planned outcome of the conference.
And reports from family and friends in Denmark tell us at least 75 cm (almost 30 in) snow got dumped on parts of Denmark, and many are unhappy over what this conference is costing the Danish taxpayers.
