Neat Family History and Temple Experiences

My wife and I went to the Logan temple a couple of years ago to have her step-mother sealed to her father.  After the sealing was comopleted, the sealer told us he felt her father was present.

Sometime later I had prepared the name of a friend whom I greatly admired and appreciated for his temple work, since Tyler and his wife Clara never had children.  To expedite the work, I got the blue card back myself after his baptism and confirmation were done.   Early one Saturday morning I felt that instead of racking in, I should get to the temple and do Tyler's initiatory and endowment work for him.   Next to my wife and I being married in the temple, that was by far the best feeling I had ever experienced in the temple.  It was quite a struggle getting the correct birth and death information about Tyler's wife, Clara.  It was possible only thru the help of Family History Consultants at two different locations, one in Utah, the other in Texas.  After Clara's work was started, their marriage information was found by the consultant in Texas, who had taken a personal interest in the husband, Tyler, and his family.  Just a day ago she emailed me:

"I just had a "feeling" probably spirit related, to go take another look at the Kent family.
Today it was a very good! I found ship passenger lists with Anna's maiden name and the children. I found a book on line that tells about William being the Ambassador, who he married and when.  I found passport applications too.  Those people named the kids all the same names!  I've already entered William and Anna to have work done.  Thanks for introducing me to this family of Kent, Carter, Hodgdon ,Patrick and more!"  (William and Anna were the parents of my friend, Tyler Kent.)

A FH Consultant also shared this with me:  "I know about those special feelings going through the Temple.  The first one I had was during washings. A Spanish lady was helping me do a bunch of cards I had that day and I heard her getting chocked up and excited from the other side of the curtain. When she came out the worker told me the lady had had a strong impression from my relative and wanted me to know. Then I got all excited too. It was as if the person was right there with us. "
