If they can actually pass the breakthrough point it would be awesome.

Theres more than enough hydrogen isotopes in the worlds oceans for fusion power to fuel the worlds energy needs millions of times over. Cheap clean energy that doesn't pollute or create high level waste, and that we can be completely self reliant off of is just what we need.

Although some envirormentalist will probally still find something to freak out about.

That's a given. Environmentalists complain about wind farms and solar power. Literally. They say that large groups of windmills kill birds, and so they're bad. A solar power facility couldn't run a power line through a forest to actually provide its power to someone because the environmentalists complained.
