I'm putting together my rank list of anesthesiology residencies and want your opinion. Use the poll feature to rank your top choice, and then rank them in your favored order in a reply.
I chose U of Arizona for you because, married or single, I think you will find a greater number of active LDS people with whom to associate. Both my wife and I consider that a big +.
I voted for AZ because I'm biased against east coast school.s It's an irrational bias, but there it is. But if I had to suggest one after AZ, I'd say go to St Lois.

Maybe because he isn't apostate? Just kidding. Maybe he's listing the places that have offered him a residency, and UofU, for whatever reason, didn't.

Yes, University of Utah is the apostate one, having lost its way. The problem there is there are so many Mormon boys, who disproportionatlely enter medical school, who all want to return where they or their wife are from, which gives UofU a really, really big ego when it comes to whom they deem worthy to grant an interview. And no I'm not bitter.
But, I don't think they would top my list. The climate and mountains in Arizona are very tempting. DC is an awesome place as well. After that I'll probably rank them them by how well known they are in the medical community, WashU, Case, SLU, UIC, UMKC. SLU is the place where Vitamin K was discovered, which is currently given to all newborns to prevent bleeding problems. Pretty famous, huh?
WashU's endowment is probably as large as the rest of those places put together, which may be a benefit if hospitals begin crashing in the pending economic disaster, unless that endowment is in the stock market, which means they just lost 1/3 of their money.
It's not the size of the endowment that counts, but what you personally can achieve there Seriously, if they have research or programs that appeal to you, that's a better school for you. Personal fulfillment is more important than fiduciary gain.
