The Massachusetts Senate has voted to let out of state gays marry. Now this doesn't mean that the law is repealed yet, but I don't really see any way that this is not going to pass, because it's very politically correct.

So, even if the Protection of Marriage Amendment passes in California, this is going to end up with the U.S. Supreme Court, where it could be forced onto all of us.
That's pretty much the way it looks to me too. And unfortunately I don't have confidence in the Supreme Court enough to believe that they would decide the right way. That's also why I support a constitutional amendment defining marriage.

I see a camel nose, head, neck, legs, and hump. That camel is almost all the way in the tent. We've been repeatedly told to fight against gay marriages and even civil unions, because the prophets knew this is what it would lead to. The Proclamation on the family says, "Further, we warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets." Could the pending financial disasters be related?
They easily could be, although I'm not ready to cry "End of civilization as we know it". I can easily believe that things can get a lot, lot worse before the end comes. But yes, the camel's nose was in the tent in the late 80s/early 90s. The camel could almost qualify for squatter's rights in the tent by now. Yes, we need to love gay people. No, we do not need to tolerate their behavior or make special accommodations or give up principles for them.
