Ive been asked by bok to post an introduction, so here goes nothing.
Im really not sure what I should write here or what anyone would like to know about me.I guess if I dont cover it, you are free to ask anything you want.Of course I am also free to answer or not answer anything I want.
Ive been a member all my life (well since the age of 8 anyway).Served a mission in northern Italy (a long time ago). And all the usual things that Im sure all of you have done and do (but probably to a lesser degree). So, nothing out of the ordinary here.
I just ran across this site while I was surfing one day and saw a few people I recognized. My one referral (so far) is Cowboy.Cowboy, I and two others decided a few months ago to start a preparedness site.Im not sure its allowed to give the name or URL so I wont. But while looking at this site I recognized some prominent members of our site that were here as well.I wont mention their names either because Im not sure they would want me to or that it is allowed. So I thought I would stop in and take a look. You can never get enough good information, right?Im always on the lookout for good information.
Anyway, really dont like talking much about myself so I guess that is just about it.Is this OK bok?
So you're not going to be dropping by Mirk's for the horsemeat BBQ?

Allergic, huh? My husband tried that 'till the test came back that he really wasn't. That's truly unfortunate though if it's true.
So you're into preparedness? KEWL! See, I'm raising *Armageddon* horses... part of my preps plan.
Yes, I really am allergic. I would really like to not be allergic. I think I would have a great time riding horses (or eating them as in above post ) I have been trying to find some kind of medicine that works but so far no luck. I think horses is a great part of a prep plan!

Oh, NRA... I think I've got some medicine that may help your allergies...
LOL! Ya know, I think I have some of that medicine as well. Aim well, you may only get one chance.
I hope you know I'm just kidding. Although I have heard that horse does taste pretty good. Mirk, you up for that BBQ? I think I know where we can find some good horse meat.

Wanna be the official bird of Bountiful? We probably wouldn't eat you on Thanksgiving.

True. You wouldn't want people to be trying to give you to each other.

I don't think I'd be revealing any secrets by saying NRA is what you might call a "preparedness enthusiast". Such people can come from a wide variety of backgrounds - and not all of them seem to be all that well grounded in reality, and seem to be strangers to common sense and logical thinking.
NRA and his forum ain't like that, at least not that I've seen. I participate at GLO and have found the company there to be measured, respectful, intelligent as well as passionate. If you want good access to some of the best LDS thinking and reasoning about preparedness with hardly any tinfoil-hat wearing tent-city-proclaiming bilderberger/illuminati/commies-stealing-our-fluids melodrama, GLO is the place to go.
