Sen. Kennedy suffers a stroke

Senator Kennedy has suffered a stroke.
While he is one of the most dedicated enemies of freedom in this country, I don't really want him to die. At this point, he has a whole lot to repent of, and I wouldn't want him to miss even one chance to repent.
He is recovering and I don't think it's likely that he will repent, but I can't find it in me to wish for his death.

Me either, but the man is corruption embodied.

Apparently it was a seizure, not a stroke: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/17/kennedy.hospital/index.html

"Preliminary tests have determined that he has not suffered a stroke and is not in any immediate danger. ... Over the next couple of days, Sen. Kennedy will undergo further evaluation to determine the cause of the seizure, and a course of treatment will be determined at that time," said Dr. Larry Ronan, a physician at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my guns!

I would not shed one tear to see him pass.

Wonder how he's dodged the Kennedy curse all this time?

Seizures caused by a malignant brain tumor. From the end of the article:

Average survival can range from less than a year for very advanced and aggressive types such as glioblastomas or to about five years for different types that are slower growing.

I assume that he's not going to ask the missionaries for a blessing, so it sounds like he's a goner.

KSmith, now you have me burning with curiousity about what you were going to say. Even if it completely disagrees with what we've been saying, I'm interested in hearing your opinion.

We're all goners, sooner or later.  He's 76 years old - the average american male life expectancy.  If it wasn't cancer, it probably would have been something else.  I would love to be a fly on the wall when he meets his maker.  I can't help but wonder if he is more or less evil than I have always assumed him to be.

Hey, I have this far-fetched feeling that we won't need to wish to be flies on the wall for interesting little exchanges such as Ted Kennedy at the Judgement Bar... cuz once the veil is gone, I believe we'll be able to see any little thing we want. That's right! You heard me. Remember that "shout it from the housetops" scripture? That's right, EVERYONE's going to know EVERYTHING about you. How's that grab ya? So, yeah. That's just my belief. You think you have a privacy problem now... heh.

I'm guessing that repenting might be the only way to keep stuff private, cuz then it's wiped clean. So, yet another reason to keep cleaning that slate. biggrin.gif

Yes, repentance would clean the slate... effectively "wipe out" the stuff... thumbsup.gif
