A former Hip Hop singer has been singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for a while now. I thought that this was interesting. It's good that he chose to give up the groupies for the Choir. I remember that when I lived in Utah for a year as a youth some former rock star spoke to our Sunday School class about leaving the life of sex, drugs, and rock and roll to repent, and how much happier he was because of it. I wish I could remember who he was.

Arther "Killer" Kane of the New York Dolls joined the church and was working in the Family History Center at the LA temple prior to his death a couple years ago. The documentery "New York Doll" is a very good one that I highly recommend. The DVD has a special feature showing the two surviving members of The Dolls singing Come Come Ye Saints.

Was it Janice Kapp Perry or Lex De Azevedo? :)

It's just inspiring to hear of people giving up hedonistic lifestyles and embracing the gospel.
