Anything special about this conference?

Pres. Monson said that, out of all the conferences he has attended, this one seemed the most special to him. Obviously he's not prophet and would experience something different. But did this conference seem special or out of the ordinary to you in some way? Maybe it's just because it's the most recent, but this conference really stood out in my mind. Especially the focus on how we have the truth and we don't apologize for that.

I noticed that several of the speakers mentioned the keys of the priesthood--how the 12 hold the keys, but Pres. Monson is the only man authorized to exercise all the keys.  Perhaps it's because they wanted to emphasize that Pres. Monson is now the president, but I just don't remember a time when keys were talked about as much.

Hard to say, since I dozed through most of the talks on both days. shrug.gif Elder Oaks' talk was one of my favorites. I also appreciated Elder Scott's talk. The rest of them....  yawn.gif

(BTW That's not a diss on the speakers.  It's my own failing/attitude...  YMMV)

I liked the non-apologetic, strong stance on our beliefs, too. Elder Holland rocks. thumbsup.gif I also really liked the emphasis on how our families should be.

I really liked listening to President Monson. I knew he was the prophet even before this conference but hearing him speak in the Priesthood session and the final session really reinforced it to me. He is the one the Lord has chosen.
