Both Ukraine's and Georgia's membership applications have been denied by NATO for now.
Hey, they could always reform the Warsaw Pact, right? nana.gif

Nato is basically a second UN now anyway. They let so many countries in that it has basically become useless as a tool for the US and the UK.

I was a little torqued yesterday while watching the news that many of the European countries were 'upset with the U.S.' when the U.S. granted control over Afghanistan to NATO, because we were just 'dumping it in their laps'. I'm thinking, okay, so we're damned if we go in and take charge and do things ourselves, and we're damned if we give them control where they might have to actually DO something?! Grrr....
