Pearls, what can you ladies tell me about them

My has lost her pearl earrings and cannot find them.  I have decided to surprise her with some, and am looking on ebay.

What is the right size of pearl?  The ones she had were a white stud.  I would appreciate any input.  Thanks.

My wife and mother both like pea sized pearls.

If they are simply pearl stud-type earrings, then I like them slightly larger than pea size.  Here's some that I thought looked nice.  I like the dangly kind as well as the stud type.

I don't know anything about pearls other than a little about how they are made in the ocean.

Not to sound sappy, but I know from some of your posts over the years you have shared your wife sometimes struggles w/her self-worth and doesn't always believe you!

Maybe when you give this to your wife you can tell her she is your greatest treasure- more important to you than all the pearls in the world, etc

Well, I decided to ask her and shop them with her. She likes to ask my opinion on clothes and such. She picked out several sets and I think she had fun. Not the kind of fun I had in picking out new magazines and stock sets for a new AK-47, but okay, each to their own! biggrin
